I have installed linux mint 18 yesterday. i installed via synaptic hplip en hplip-gui. hplip is version 3.16.3 in linux mint 17 it was in 2 seconds i have my printer, but now it won't work.. For the hp laserjet p1102w, i have tried linux mint 17 and 18 out of the box, which is supposed to work, but there is some discussion about having to carry my printer to my linux machine and plugging it in via usb first before it will work over the network?.
