PSA-COM is a dealer level diagnostic and programming interface for Peugeot/Citroen vehicles.

It can access to various electronic control units (ECUs) such as Engine, Gearbox, ABS, Airbag/SRS etc. and also can display identification, read and clear fault code memory, display and record measured values and perform actuator tests.

Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 or Linux and Mac OS/X (using Wine emulation)

PSA-COM interface contains 8x ISO9141 K-Line, 1x ISO9141 L-Line, CAN-BUS and analog measurement circuits.

This blog is tested experience of using Xhorse VVDI MB BGA Tool to renew Mercedes W212 ESL and replace W212 EIS successfully! Below are details for your checking.

Yesterday I tried to replace EIS in W212 with other used one, not exactly the same part number, but with help of EPC it was replaceable.

Original EIS + 1 key functional (original EIS have some malfunctions, sometime ok, sometime not, but all keys data readable yet)

Calculated key password online then got erase password success - all data saved.

Other used one W212 EIS from scrap yard, no any keys, then through steps as follows:

1.W212 all key lost to get key password, get erase password - all success

2.renew this EIS with all valid passwords - success

3.read all EIS data from orig part and as first write VIN, then write all key data

4.use original key and NEW EIS is success activated

(All works with both EIS were on the table, without car!)

?.Now put the new(used) EIS back to the car and waited a little time for key recalculating to car, then turned to first ignition position and again waited for recalculating...

At the end turned to 2nd ignition lights OK, again waited for recalculating in ECU, after message away turned key to start car and car started! Remote lock/unlock work, no any problems...
